🐝 Beehold – The Honey-Cake Contest! 🍯🎂
Date: Saturday, September 13
Cake Drop-Off: By 11:30 AM at the Judges’ Booth - Find Trevor Barlow of Super Roasted Coffee
Judging Begins: 12:30 PM
Winners Announced: Right after judging
🍯 Rules & Requirements
Honey Requirement: A portion of the cake’s sweetness must come from honey.
Cake Size: Cakes must be at least 6" round (bread loaf pan size 8"x4") or larger.
Recipe Submission: Each entry must include a full recipe listing all ingredients.
Presentation: Cakes must be presented on a sturdy base or in a cake box.
Anonymity: Each entry will be assigned a number to ensure blind judging and fairness.
👩⚖️ Judging Criteria
Cakes will be evaluated on the following criteria: Appearance, Texture, Aroma & flavor, and the Influence of honey on the finished product.
Think Great British Bake Off - Judges will examine the cake—including the underside and sides—for proper baking, then cut into it to evaluate crumb, texture, and flavor.

The Crowning Moment: One talented baker will be crowned HoneyFest Baker of the Year!

Other Prizes: We’ll also award ribbons for:
Signature Baker (bring your personal style to the bake)
Best Flavor (because taste is where the magic truly shines!)
Most Importantly - Have a Buzzing Good Time!
